Thread: Does anybody else hate hipster slasher films like The Strangers?

The killers in these movies are always more interested in looking emo or creepy than just efficiently killing the victims.

These movies really rustle my jimmies.

Movies like these are for people who look at their phones while they're at the theater.

I just didn't find it scary. It was more annoying that they needed both of the main characters to be so inept at defending themselves that they let a bunch of My Chemical Romance fans murder them.

It's easy to say "well I'd shoot them" or "I'd just run out the front door" but until it happens to you, you'll never know how you'd actually respond to a given situation

That's what I'm saying. The killers themselves were inept as well. They did a lot of things that were so unnecessary but done in the name of being creepy. And even despite all that, the main characters were such retards that they couldn't defend themselves.

I prefer watching female murder documentaries based on true events
