In the past ‘Dana Veera Sura Karna’ and ‘Kurukshetram’ movies with the story line of Mahabharath were released with a gap of one day. Similarly, balakrishna and venkatesh also did the similar movies and moreover they released them on the same day at the Box Office. Those movies are ‘Ashoka Chakravarthi’ and dhruva Nakshatrsm.


Ashoka Chakravarthi: This was the remake of Malayali movie ‘Aryan’, in which Mohan Lal was a hero. The movie was screened with the back drop of mumbai Mafia drama and was released on june 29th 1989.


dhruva Nakshatrsm: On the other hand this movie was also screened with mumbai Mafia drama back drop and was directed by Y.Nageswar Rao. It was also inspired by Malayali ‘Aryan’ movie and was released on june 29th 1989.


This movie was a super hit at the box office while bala Krishna’s Ashoka Chakravarthi was a flop. But the official remake of ‘Aryan’ was ‘Ashoka Chavarthi’ only. The surprising thing was the dialogue writer for both the movies were same.
