Srinagar, May 17 (UNI) Rejecting reports about any rift between Front Line Workers (Police) and Health Care Workers (Doctors and paramedical employees), a police spokesman on Monday afternoon said both are working in close coordination against the COVID-19.
A police spokesman said policemen (FLWs) and Doctors (HCWs) are brother in arms in the ongoing war against the COVID-19.
Anyone trying to create wedge between them amounts to being an enemy of humanity, he said, adding that it also equals to deriving pleasure out of the misfortune of people in distress.
There are social media reports about doctors being harassed by police during the corona lockdown in the valley.
Recently on May 12, Doctors Association Kashmir president Mohammad Yousuf Tak had alleged that a report from Shopian said that a doctor was manhandled by police when he was on way to hospital. It was reported that Dr Ehsan, was detained for four hours with criminals in the lockup.
However, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir had issued strict instructions to field staff to treat the Identity card of doctors and paramedical staff as curfew pass and ensure their free movement.
