14 die of Covid 330 new cases in Manipur

Imphal, May 17 (UNI) Manipur today recorded the death of 14 persons and 330 new Covid cases.
In the past twenty-four hours, 327 persons (179M, 148F) from the general population and 3 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases at RIMS (20), Imphal West (6), Maipakpi (6), CMC (5), Lamjingba (1), Sielmat (1). Little Clinic (1), Raj Medicity (34), Ema Hospital (6), Advance Hospital (1), Asian Hospital (2), Jivan Hospital (13), Shija Hospital (16), Babina Diagnostics (81).
Escent Diagnostics (56), Thoubal (17), Bishnupur (25), Kakching (2), Churachandpur (7), Chandel (3), Senapati (6), Tamenglong (8), Ukhrul (7), Noney (1) and Jiribam (5).
They were from Imphal East (85), Imphal West (127), Thoubal (28), Bishnupur (30), Kakching (21), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (8), Chandel (3), Senapati (7), Tamenglong (6), Kamjong (1), Noney (3) and Jiribam (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, 14 persons expired at Shija Hospital (3), RIMS (7) and JNIMS (4) hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths was 592.
The total number of discharged persons was 455. They were from CAPF (7), Home Isolation (322), RIMS (23), JNIMS (3). RD Wing (6), BB (11), NSU (24). SHRI (20), Babina Speciality Hospital (6), Lamboikhongnangkhong (10), Jivan Hospital (7), Bishnupur (14), Tamenglong (1) and Senapati (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 40,059 (General Population — 36.354 and Central Security Personnel 3,705). The cumulative number of recovered cases was 33,129 (General Population — 29,600 and Central Security Personnel -- 3,529). The number of active cases was 6338 (General Population - 6167 and Central Security Personnel — 171). The recovery rate was 82.70 %.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1488 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 502 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
To date, 309896 people were vaccinated. Air passengers who travelled to the State on May, 14 by Air India AI-715 in rows 8-14 were asked to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
