Three BJP MLAs — Shankar Ghosh, Anandamoy Burman and Sikha Chattopadhyay —were on Sunday taken into custody here on the charge of violating lockdown regulations.

The MLAs were protesting alleged lack of measures to check the rising number of Covid deaths in north Bengal. They were released later in the day, a cop said. The MLAs were held when they were staging a sit-in in Siliguri. — PTI
