Cloud communications platform company Infobip has announced the purchase of Anam, a Dublin, Ireland-based SMS firewall service provider, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition, according to company officials, is part of a strategic move to help strengthen Infobip as a top mobile network operator with enhanced features and service offerings.
Anam’s offerings include messaging, security and analytics, for mobile providers. The company serves over 80 MNOS with 606 million customers across the world.
Together, Infobip and Anam’s product?portfolio for MNOs provides a number of benefits to subscribers such as SMS Firewall, SMS Hubs, SMSC,?CPaaS, RCS?, and Authentication & Verification.

Another benefit of the acquisition includes the joining of Anam?to Infobip’s Strategic Operator Partnerships division. This will allow their customers to have access to a 24/7 Networks Operations Centre (NOC), on-ground support, enriched?analytics,?and reporting.?
As part of the purchase, Infobip will also gain access to Anam’s expertise and certifications in both ISO 27001?and ISO 20000 – which are required standards for information security and IT service management companies to guarantee premium levels of Quality of Service.
