RAIPUR: In a bid to ramp up Covid vaccination of 18-44 age groups belonging to Antyodaya and BPL categories, the Korba district administration has decided to rope in government fair price shops operators. They will eencourage and help members of these families to get vaccinated.
RAIPUR: In a bid to ramp up Covid vaccination of 18-44 age groups belonging to Antyodaya and BPL categories, the Korba district administration has decided to rope in government fair price shops operators. They will eencourage and help members of these families to get vaccinated.
District collector Kiran Kaushal said that keeping in view the lack of awareness difficulties faced by Antyodaya and BPL families, the administration has decided to take assistance from the operators of government ration shops to get their Covid vaccination done.
Necessary instructions have been given to the shop operators in a recently held virtual meeting for identification of family members of both the classes eligible for third phase Covid vaccination on the basis of ration card. She said that the operators of the all government ration shops in the district have been asked to reach the vaccination centres from one in the afternoon after finishing their work to help the members of Antyodaya and BPL families get vaccinated.
Besides, instructions have also been given to authorities and officials concerned for organization of Covid vaccination awareness campaigns for Antyodaya and BPL families in villages and rural areas to bring them to the vaccination centers.
The collector has instructed and appealed all not to take vaccination lightly and get their shot of vaccine at the earliest to prevent and control the spread of corona infection. District Program Officer Padmakar Shinde informed that the corona vaccination of people belonging to 18-44 years age group is being done at 51 vaccination centers in the districtHe that Antyodaya card holders, BPL card holders and general category people are being vaccinated on first come first serve basis.
It is mandatory for Antyodaya and BPL category people to bring their ration card for vaccination. Vaccination will be given to eligible beneficiaries only after careful examination of ration card by the Immunization Officer. People of APL category will be able to get the vaccine without showing ration card but they will have to bring Aadhaar card, Voter ID, ration card or driving license for identification.
