Suryapet: Two people, including a woman, were killed instantly and three others were injured when lightning struck them on Sunday morning at the Lingampally of the Nuthankal Mandal in the Suryapet district.
The five, all laborers in agriculture, were picking red chillies in an agricultural field when lightning struck them, killing two people on the spot and the other three sustained serious injuries. The injured were taken by ambulance to the government’s general hospital on Suryapet for treatment.
