Gurgaon: From supplying oxygen cylinders and medicines to holding vaccination camps and providing cooked meals and dry ration, the district legal services authority (DLSA) has stepped in to help Covid-hit residents of Faridabad as the state grapples with the second wave of the pandemic.
Under the project, DLSA Faridabad has so far organised some 231 awareness camps and distributed around 50,000 masks, 20,000 (100 ml) bottles of sanitisers and 5,000 packets of Ayush Kadha. In the past one and a half months, it has organised around 88 vaccination camps across the district.
“So far, we have been able to provide oxygen cylinders to 11 people and helped arrange plasma for 10 patients, apart from assisting many residents in finding hospital beds,” said chief judicial magistrate Manglesh Choubey, the head of DLSA Faridabad.
Since the announcement of the lockdown this year, DLSA has started providing meals to Covid-19 patients staying alone in home isolation.
