Srinagar, May 16 (UNI) National Conference (NC) President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah on Sunday condoled the death of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s brother due to COVID-19.
Ms Banerjee brother Ashim Banerjee died at a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday battling COVID-19.
In their condolence message, the former chief ministers of J&K expressed solidarity with the grief-stricken family, particularly Mamata Banerjee.
“The duo prayed for forbearance to the bereaved family particularly Mamata to bear the inconsolable loss. They also prayed for eternal repose of the departed soul,” an NC spokesperson said on Sunday.
