Loiterers subjected to RAT, two found positive

Churachandpur, May 15 2021: To curtail lockdown violations and to detect COVID-19 positive people amongst those who loiter around on the streets, the staff of medical department backed by district police personnel conducted random Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at several places of Churachandpur town on Saturday.

The first random test was conducted at Chengkonpang area around 10:30 am and later at Thangjam Road in new market area.

During the drive, the medical team performed tests on about 70 people, out of whom two were found positive for the infectious Covid-19 .

Meanwhile, the district police advised the public not to step out of their homes unless it is extremely necessary.
