Aurangabad, May 14 (UNI) Marathwada Graduate Constituency MLC Satish Chavan on Saturday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking serious note during the high level meeting on the backdrop of Covid in the country and ordered to concern department to conduct audits all the sub standard ventilators provided to Government Medical College and Hospital at Aurangabad and in other states also from PM care fund .
Mr Chavan in his statement stated,I had on Thursday inspected the ventilators at GMCH 150 ventilators were donated to GMCH from the PM Care Fund.
However, the committee of GMCH doctors appointed by the GMCH Hospital has given a clear report that these ventilators are inferior and not suitable for corona patients and ICU wards.
When I read this question with proof, news about it was published in various dailies and TV channels.
This had to be taken care of by the Union Ministry of Health. However, the health ministry on Friday issued a press note saying that the news regarding the ventilator at GMCH Hospital in Aurangabad was baseless and wrong.
A committee of GMCH doctors from the GMCH inspected the actual ventilator and prepared an objective report.
So the report of the expert doctors in the GMCH is false or the 'press note' given by the Union Ministry of Health is false,Mr Chavan raised question.
He further said that he will soon visit the places in Marathwada where these PM Care ventilators were supplied and find out how many ventilators were used and how many went useless.
In many places people are losing their lives due to lack of ventilators,he pointed out.
If the central government is behaving so indifferently and insensitively about such an important medical device, then why should the citizens of the country ask anyone for 'herpes'? Asked Mr Chavan.
