Fuuuuuuuuu i remember when this shiit coin was less than a penny only a year or so ago
Tommy, 38, and James, 42, who have asked CNN not to publish their last names to protect their anonymity, had put a few hundred bucks into an odd digital asset called shiba inu coin — a spinoff of dogecoin, so basically a parody of a parody. One coin was worth a fraction of a cent, but a friend, who happened to be a crypto expert, told them he believed it could be a big moneymaker.
The family's initial stake of $7,900? It's now worth nearly $9 million as of Thursday. CNN Business confirmed the value via their coin wallet and transaction

I've worked in the crypto industry and one difficult thing for people is selling large amounts into cash. A lot of retail banks don't trust crypto and won't allow you to make large crypto deposits. If it's a massive sum then there are some high level investment banks that will take the deposit.
There are some banks that specifically cater to crypto, but they are online banks and therefore a bit questionable. The reason many retail banks don't do business with large crypto transactions is the ties to organized crime. Large organized crime syndicates have used crypto as a means to launder money or carry out covert transactions, sometimes entire token projects are just a front for organized crime.
This reputation is changing though over time, especially as large financial institutions and governments invest in the technology and tokens.
Another thing to consider is liquidity, there needs to be enough buyers in the marketplace to liquidate your holdings into cash. Without enough liquidity, you can't sell your tokens. The most successful people in this industry are the companies processing the transactions and taking a small fee. These make up the real cash money billionaires in the industry, whereas having large paper value of tokens can be a tricky thing to navigate.Beans, cleans, gasoline
