Popular script writer and director Sampth Nandi is providing the script for this film. The actress
expressed her excitement to be a part of the film which is inspired from the William Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice. Urvasi will be seen playing the character inspired by Shylock in the film.

Urvashi took to her instagram and expressed her gratitude for the great offer and wrote, “Off for Black Rose Beyond Thrilled! Cannot wait for my bilingual (Telugu + Hindi) debut in 'Black Rose'. Our director sampath nandi is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers and wrote the entire script keeping me in mind. When I was offered the film I finished reading it in one go and truly loved the screenplay”

However now the movie seems to have halted in the middle. There has been no update about the movie from the makers for a quite long time. Even urvashi has kept her silence about the film. Rumors are rife that the movie has been stopped. All the fans of urvashi are feeling bad that her telugu debut has been halted. We have to wait and see if the makers will release any update about the film.
