KOLHAPUR: Heavy rainfall with gusty winds hit Kolhapur and its ghat region on Saturday.
IMD has issued an ‘orange alert‘ for the district on Sunday and Monday with heavy rainfall and strong winds.
The civic body has told citizens to stay at home on Sunday and Monday to avoid any fatalities. As a precaution, notices have been sent people living in dilapidated buildings and some have already been shifted to safer place.Citizens are urged to stay at their homes and if out take shelter under a firm construction and not stand under trees as heavy rains with winds are expected.
