Out of the two options Micheal and the beetles are def contenders from how the world reacted to them. They were basically gods on earth.

As a lifelong musician who is classically trained, but who also enjoys other forms of music, I find it funny when low IQ peeps (no offense Phaggot) such as OPie tries to throw out names.
That’s like asking a plumber about a quintuple bypass procedure.

MJ: Songs sucked. I grew up as an teen in the 80's and even then I couldn't believe how bad is chit was. But, people eat it up McDonalds makes chit-tier burgers but everyone eats them. That doesn't mean they are good. They are horrible, just cheap and everywhere. Same thing with MJ.
Prince: Very skilled musician who wrote simplistic boring garbage songs. But he could play instruments well.
The Beatles: I have never once intentionally listened to a Beatles song. They sound like boring elevator music to me. I wouldn't even call the innovators. When there "ground breaking" albums came other people were already doing the same thing. They just didn't have the media machine. The Beatles are / were just pop culture who happened to make elevator music.
