Facebook-owned photo messaging app Instagram is reportedly working on a new feature that may allow its users to create posts from laptops and desktops. Tipster Alessandro Paluzzi shared the update via a tweet where he said that Instagram is working on the ability to create posts from the desktop website.

He said that the feature is currently being tested internally. In the tweet, the leakster also shared screenshots of the new feature. The images appear to be of the feature in testing and could vary once it is finally rolled out.

To create a post from Instagram desktop website, one will have to click on the button placed at the top of the Desktop View (a "+" icon inside a rounded box). Desktop users will be able to drag-and-drop images and videos on the site. They will also be provided a photo editor support to crop images and apply filters.

Similar to the app users, desktop users will also be able to add captions and locations to the photos. They can also tag people in the image. In the advanced settings, they will be able to disable comments as well.

Although the tipster does not give any date of the feature roll out, it is expected to come in the near future.
