500-bed Covid section in 2 days: Srinivas Gold

Mahabubnagar: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Gold says an exclusive 500 bed Covid the ward at the government’s general hospital in the city of Mahabubnagar will be ready within a few days.

About 100 isolation beds are available at the CNS hospital and by Tuesday, 30 oxygen beds would be available at Shadnagar, he said.

The minister held a video conference on Saturday with Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet Collectors, Zilla Parishad Presidents, elected public representatives and other officials. He wanted doctors to first move infected people to isolation wards, and if necessary, then to hospitals.

“In emergencies and critical cases, it must be moved immediately to Mahabubnagar General Hospital,” Srinivas Gold said.

If more than ten positive cases are identified, a team of doctors and nurses should be sent by ambulance to such places during the fever survey.

For the convenience of patient staff, including at private hospitals, free food should be arranged. Just like last year, a special care center should be set up in the city of Mahabubnagar this year as well, and free food should be provided for the oppressed and the poor, the minister said.

In view of the exclusion, all measures must be taken to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience, especially migrant workers, he said. It should be added that traffic should be monitored from 06:00 to 10:00.

Narayanpet collector D Harichandana informed the minister that doctors deployed from Mahabubnagar had reported to the service and that oxygen cylinders had been received. Cylinders from the TSMIDC have yet to be received, she said Covid care center has been set up on Maddur.

There is a requirement for doctors at Kosgi, in addition to another 50 oxygen cylinders, she said.

Narayanpet MLA Rajender Reddy, Deverkadra MLA A Venkateshwar Reddy, Kodansha MLA Narender Reddy and other officials spoke at the event.
