Hyderabad girl Thaniya Sarai for Kazakhstan

Hyderabad: Promising tennis player G Thaniya Sarai from Hyderabad has been named as a reserve player in the Indian girls team that will play in the ITF World Junior Tennis Asia / Oceania final qualifying round, which will be held from 14 to 19 June in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan.

The 13-year-old, who ranks fourth in the Indian girls under 14 category, practices under Ghouse Mohammed at the Professional Tennis Academy in Manikonda. Apart from her vigorous training at the academy, she practices yoga and meditation under Jaya Prakash. Besides, she does fitness exercises with Naidu while Rashmi Cherian takes care of the nutrition.
