Recruit medical staff to meet Covid care question: Errabelli Daykar Rao

Jangaon / Mahabubabad: Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Daykar Rao, instructed the officials to take steps to recruit the doctors, nurses and other paramedics for three months to meet the requirement to treat the Covid-19 patients. He also asked them to increase the number of oxygen beds at the hospitals in the district.

The Minister held a review meeting on Sunday with district collector K Nikhila and other officials at the collector Covid situation and road acquisition in the district. Addressing officials, he said the state government is taking every step to ensure the provision of Remdesivir injections and oxygen by increasing pressure on the center.

Medicine sets up to 5,150 Covid suspects

“Door-to-door fever surveys are being done in the district to Covid suspects. So far 5,150 people have so far received medicine kits in the district. On the other hand, OP services are made available at the PHCs for the benefit of the Covid patients. A total of 1 889 people received health kits from the PHC staff, ”he said, adding that as many as even ambulances were employed to move the patients to hospitals.

Dayakar Rao made it clear that there are no oxygen or Remdesivir injections in the district. He instructed the officials to recruit the medical staff regardless of the official vacancy. He also asked the officials to take the help of the Bala Vikasa, an NGO, to strengthen the hospitals. ‘People can contact the toll-free number 8247847692 for medical advice on the Covid-19 and other information about the Covid services in the district, ”Rao added.

Purchase of discolored rice

Meanwhile, Rao said the state government would also buy the ‘discolored paddy’. “We have so far purchased 73,886 MT rice truck from 12,224 farmers at 195 rice sourcing centers in this Yasangi and paid them 57.90 crore,” he added.

Later, the Minister provided 30 beds insulation facilities for the Covid-19 patients in the Primary Health Center (PHC) at Thorrur Headquarters in the Mahabubabad District and the Wing Outpatient (OP) are also examined in the hospital. He instructed the officials to temporarily recruit the medical staff in view of the increase in the country Covid incidents. He also instructed them to focus on maintaining good sanitary conditions in the hospitals. Collector VP Gautham, District Physician and Health Officer (DMHO), Dr Harish Raj and others, accompanied the Minister.
