MP: Infection rate declined significantly

In Madhya Pradesh, the infection rate has declined significantly. Corona infection rate had reached 24 per cent in the state, which has now come down to 11.8 per cent. The weekly positivity rate has also come down to 14.8 per cent.

Madhya Pradesh for the fifth consecutive day registered less than 10,000 cases. State reported 8,087 fresh cases and 88 fatalities while 11,671 patients recovered from infection.

The number of active cases in the state stands at one lakh four thousand 444. More than 60 thousand tests are being conducted every day. Meanwhile, the State Government announced cancellation of the Class 10 Board exams due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Announcing the decision, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated, Board exams for Class 10 won’t take place, mark sheets will be issued based on evaluation.

Anyone who wants higher marks can sit for the exam later in the time to come. Board exams for students of Class 12 have been postponed. They will be held when the situation improves.
