Pregnant woman dies in ambulance after hospitals refused to admit

Hyderabad: A pregnant woman from Mallapur died today due to the erroneous attitude of corporate hospitals out of the city. She was identified as Pavani. Although she was taken out of the city by five corporate hospitals, none of her admitted her.

She suffered five hours in the ambulance and exhaled her last breath in the same vehicle. With her unborn child.

The managers of various crematoria in the city did not come forward to perform her last rituals since she was pregnant.

They made it clear to the relatives of the victim that they had to separate the mother and the child to perform the last rituals. The family members took the body of the victim to her residence.

With the knowledge of the incident, the local officials made arrangements to perform the last rituals of Pavani and her last rituals are a crematorium in Mallapur. Meanwhile, the great collector of the Swetha Mohanty district Medchal Malkajgiri ordered an investigation into the issue. The DMHO of the district Dr Mallikarjun went to the victim’s residence and collected information from her family members.
