Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s nephew Abhay Singh Sandhu died of COVID-19, a press release from the state government said on Friday.

Abhay Singh Sandhu was the son of Kulbir Singh, the younger brother of the revolutionary leader Bhagat Singh. He died at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, the press release said.

Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu offered his condolences and recalled his work as a social activist.
