Bollywood celeb couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan live in a royal little world of their own. While Kareena hails from one of the first families of Hindi cinema, Saif is the 10th Nawab of Pataudi. Ever since Kareena Kapoor joined Instagram, we have often been able to get a sneak peek into their beautiful home.
To begin with, Saif-Kareena or Saifeena used to live in a luxurious apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, called Fortune Heights. The four-storeyed property, with each consisting of 3BHK units, were valued at Rs 48 crores in 2013, when the couple bought it. Talking about space, the flat measures up to 3,000 sq ft. Besides this, Khan owns bungalows in almost 10 locations but the most prominent among them is their Mumbai home at Fortune Heights and the very well-known Pataudi Palace. Ahead of the arrival of Taimur’s little brother, the celeb duo had moved into their new home in Mumbai. However, we think you must see Saifeena’s old home in Fortune Heights too.
Saif-Kareena’s library
Between the two of them, Saif is into his books a lot. We know it, because we see these in the pics and as Kareena gives away those details in her interviews. One of the oft-seen backgrounds is the library – a rustic looking sweet spot with photos and memorabilia from their trips, Taimur’s baby days and loads and loads of books! We have also spotted Kareena’s girl gang – Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora posing for may selfies, too. You would have also seen Saif’s kids with Amrita Singh – Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan pose in this library.

Little Taimur’s playroom
Young parents are always looking out for ideas to engage their kids and do up their playrooms. Taimur has a beautiful and colourful room, stacked with toys, where he plays with his cousin sister, Inaaya or has fun with his half-siblings Sara and Ibrahim. Ritakshi of Bibs N Cribs designed this room which has natural light all through the day. While the toys and upholstery add colour, the backdrop of this room is light, almost ivory. The flooring is wood, which provides a good contrast. Well, while Taimur grew up so far in Fortune Heights, his little brother will be brought up in the new home.

Saifeena’s new dream home in Mumbai
Before the arrival of Tim’s brother, the couple was seen preparing a new home in Mumbai. Saif and Kareena were overseeing the construction / renovation of their new property. The duo have been spotted at their new place on and off, as per reports.
Darshini Shah, who has already closely worked with Saifeena in the past, is the interior designer who landed up with the task of renovating the new home, along with a new baby nursery for the newborn little Khan. Once ready, the star couple, with the family, could soon shift out of their current home. We are quite sure about what the new home will definitely have – the grand library and the memory corridor for sure! Now its time to wait for the surprises too!
Bajrangi Bhaijaan star, Kareena shared a glimpse of this new property on her Instagram profile and captioned it as the ‘Door to new beginnings’. The new property in Satguru Sharan is a building next door to Fortune Heights, which has been Saifeena’s residence for the last 11 years. However, the new one is much bigger. The interior designer says that the star couple like their space to feel like travel diaries and we can see many photos from the past on the walls.
Both, Saif and Kareena, love England and the decor of the new house is inspired by the colonial-classic style. We also expect to see more pictures of the house in the near future and yes, there is a library, artworks, antiques and candles – basically, an extension of their old house but far more spacious. We learn that there is a room for everyone in the house and Taimur and the little one will have their own spaces.
Kareena also hosted a farewell party at her old home – a farewell to her old home. She shared a picture on her Instagram profile with her best friends, captioned, ‘It’s been a FORTUNE of memories… on to the next… to new beginnings’.
The Pataudi Palace
The Pataudi Palace is reportedly worth a whopping Rs 800 crores. The property in Gurgaon, Haryana, has 150 rooms. After the death of his famous father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Saif acquired it. The Pataudi Palace is also called Ibrahim Kothi. Spread over 10 acres, the property has seven bedrooms, seven dressing rooms, seven billiard rooms and shahi drawing and dining rooms. Designed by Robert Tor Russell in 1900 with assistance from Austrian architect Karl Moltz von Heinz, the Pataudi Palace was built on the lines of the colonial mansion of Delhi. The Pataudi Palace is where the couple celebrated their son’s first birthday. Taimur would inherit this property when he turns 18.

To give you a little bit of recent history, the palace was leased to Neemrana Group of Hotels by Mansoor Pataudi. Saif spent a hefty amount to get back the property in his name. This property is especially close to Saif, because it was made by his grandfather Nawab Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Siddiqui Pataudi, the then ruling monarch, for his wife. Post their death, Saif’s grandparents and father are all buried here, making it all the more closer to his heart.
