Former Oscars Hosts Chris Rock & Jimmy Kimmel Mock the 2021 Ceremony

Chris Rock and Jimmy Kimmel were not impressed by the 2021 Oscars.

The stars, who have both hosted the prestigious ceremony in previous years, laughed it up together on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night (May 13).

During their banter, they discussed this year’s hostless ceremony.

“You know what we did this year, you and I? We didn’t host the Oscars!” Chris said.

“We sure didn’t! It was a real weird feeling of relief to not have been involved in that at all,” responded Jimmy.

“I was like a backseat driver. Like my father used to say, ‘Brake! Brake!’ but I was like, ‘Joke! Joke!’” Chris said.

“In a way, it’s like the opposite of your conversation with the people at Saw. You’re like, ‘Have you ever considered adding some humor into the Saw series? Someone must have gone to the Oscars and said, ‘Have you ever considered subtracting all the humor from the Oscars?’” Jimmy laughed.

“They did a good job if that was what they went for,” Chris added.
