Proteas ODI and T20 captain Temba Bavuma is working with medical personnel at the Sharks in Durban as he continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring strain.

Bavuma missed South Africa's T20 series against Pakistan last month with the injury but with the Proteas not currently in action, he is understood to be nearing a full return to fitness.

The Sharks are flying high in the Rainbow Cup, top of the table with two wins from two ahead of Saturday's clash against the Bulls at Loftus.

Bavuma has been working with the franchise's biokintecists and using their facilities and he is expected to do so for a period of two weeks.

There is an unmistakable energy at the franchise presently that has a lot to do with the investment that has come from Americans MVM Holdings and Roc Nation Sports.

Siya Kolisi and Sbu Nkosi have already signed with the high-profile agency and, recently, Bavuma also put pen to paper with Roc Nation.

While Bavuma is not actively participating in Sharks training sessions, he has been watching some of them and he has even squeezed in a couple of rounds of golf at Durban Country Club.
