“If I did go to India probably would have home early anyway. Hopefully, if it (IPL) does get rescheduled for this year, I will be able to go again. It was a hard decision not to go to India, it was really unpredictable, I could have gone but I don’t know how many games would I have played,” said Archer on Sussex Cricket YouTube channel. “Rajasthan Royals and England supported me in my decision. You obviously build a good relationship as I have been the Royals for the last three years. Stokes too suffered a bit, I think going over his hand and I don`t even know if he going to be ready for these Tests against New Zealand.”

"The selectors’ decision to ignore Hardik for Tests is understandable. He has not been able bowl regularly after his surgery. I feel he has to bowl 10 overs in ODIs and four in T20s to be part of the playing XI even in shorter formats. He can’t just play as a batsman" Sarandeep Singh, a former India spinner, told PTI.

Mohammad Yousuf about virat Kohli: "I've never seen him practice but have followed some of his training videos on Twitter and other places. In today's era, if someone asks me what is modern cricket, I'd say it's about training. The players today are fit and fast, as is Virat Kohli, which is the reason behind his terrific performances," Yousuf said on the YouTube Show Cricast.

Once an RCB player, Shivam Dube now plays for Rajasthan Royals but he is yet to forget his sting for Virat Kohli led side. The 27-year old has said that he could have batted a little up the order for RCB, maybe at number four or number five to be precise. Former India cricketer and legend of the game Sunil Gavaskar has questioned the treatment meted out to David Warner after he was dropped from captaincy and was also sidelined from the playing eleven. SRH managed to win just one game in the IPL 2021 and had to make the change at the top but even then they continued to lose.

“While the rights and wrongs of dropping him as captain could well be debated for long, the question that needs to be asked is if captains can be changed midway, why can’t coaches be treated the same? In football, the moment a team starts faltering, it’s the manager who is shown the exit door, so why not in cricket too?” Sunil Gavaskar added.

Sanjay Manjrekar has heaped praise on Rohit Sharma and said that he has ‘improved tremendously with regards to defence.’ He also emphasised his role if India wants to excel at the World Test Championship final. “Rohit Sharma as opener has improved tremendously with regards to defence. He plays the ball closer to the body now and is far more patient then he used to be. He also tends to leave more balls outside off and the feet move better, but England will still be his stiffest Test.He will have to change his instinct and character as a batsman to succeed, unless the sun is out all the time. This will be a biggest test for Rohit Sharma the Test opener,” he concluded in his column for Hindustan Times.

ICC understands that for Cricket to go global, they need to take it to more countries which means they need to allow more teams in the future ICC events. The world body also understands that T20 will be the best format in such a scenario as it is easy to adapt for the new countries and the competition between the sides will a lot less one-sided.
