Manitou dealer CFM Île-de-France has acquired the access sales and service operations of Nacelles Services and taken over the distribution of GSR truck mounted lifts.
The acquisition of Cergy Pontoise/Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône based Nacelles Services - which distributed GSR and JLG products - was approved in early April and completed in the last few weeks. It was structured as a selected asset based purchase, which included Nacelles Services ongoing sales and product support business, complete with customer lists and associated equipment. We understand that the company’s ECN training affiliate was not included in the transaction.
Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer GSR has now formally has appointed CFM as its exclusive aerial work platform distributor in France. CFM operates from two locations in the Paris region - Roissy-en-France, to the North of Paris near Charles De Gaulle Airport and Jouy-le-Moutier on the western edge of Cergy Pontoise North West of Paris centre. The move follows the acquisition of the company Nacelles Services. The company sells and rents Manitou telehandlers, aerial work platforms and other products alongside Toyota industrial forklifts.

GSR has over the years delivered more than 2,000 platforms to customers in France, truck mounted lifts are a new product line for CFM, but it will assume responsibility for supplying parts and service and has taken over the resources and personnel required to handle that.
GSR’s commercial director Alessandro Palazzi said: "We are renewing our long tradition of supplies in France thanks to the agreement with CFM Ile de France and thanks to the recent presentation of our range of aerial platforms for B license in the Iveco Daily version. We are convinced that our machines, designed for 'daily use, are perfect for professionals who choose the dynamism and professionalism of the CFM team.

CFM director of operations Julien Poupart added: "This acquisition responds to two objectives of CFM Île-de-France with the aim of pursuing its development: diversify, introducing the GSR brand of aerial platforms to its product range and integrate in its group of technicians specialised in repairing platforms".
Nacelles Services was established in 1986 and for many years was the French distributor for Simon Access, switching over To JLG in the 1990s. While it continued to offer JLG it was purely a sub dealer for the brand, selling product locally and continuing to provide after sales support to its customer base.
