May 14—Rochester police are investigating a report that a man exposed himself to a young family who were spending time Wednesday at Mayo Memorial Park.

The incident, which occurred sometime between noon and 3 p.m., was reported to police on Thursday.

A 30-year-old father was tending to his 1-year-old son near one of the park's benches while his 3-year-old daughter was playing on the playground. The father looked over and saw another man get on the teeter-totter with his daughter. When the father looked over again, the man had followed the girl to the swings and was pushing her, according to Rochester Police Capt. Casey Moilanen.

The father became suspicious and went to collect his daughter to leave the park for lunch. It was then that the other man exposed his genitals and started to touch himself. The man covered himself after the father made a comment. The family then left the park.

The man is described as a heavier set white man in his mid-30s between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with dirty blond hair and a bald spot at the crown of his head. The man had scruffy facial hair and was wearing a red shirt and black pants as well as multiple necklaces, according to Moilanen.

Police were unable to locate the suspect.
