Portugal's Media Capital reduces losses by 80% to EUR 11.4 million

Portuguese media group Media Capital, which owns national broadcaster TVI, closed 2020 with losses of EUR 11.09 million, an 80 percent improvement over the losses of EUR 54.72 million a year earlier. Advertising revenue dropped 14 percent as a result of the pandemic. The group's operating revenues fell 17 percent to EUR 137.6 million, while operating expenses fell 10 percent to EUR 131.4 million.
