The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ASIAN PAINTS (up 8.8%), ITC (up 4.4%) and NESTLE (up 2.2%). Other gainers include HUL (up 1.9%) and POWER GRID (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and ICICI BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,750 (down 0.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include UPL (up 9.9%), ASIAN PAINTS (up 8.7%) and ITC (up 4.4%). Other gainers include NESTLE (up 2.0%) and HUL (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,561 to 48,899, registering a gain of 17,338 points (up 54.12%).
UPL net profit stood at Rs 10 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 8 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.6% to Rs 91.3 billion during the period as against Rs 88.9 billion in October-December 2019.
For the year ended March 2020, UPL reported 43.0% increase in net profit to Rs 28.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 19.6 billion during FY19.
Revenue of the company grew 63.7% to Rs 358 billion during FY20.
The current Price to earnings ratio of UPL , based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.0x.
