Telesat revenues slip 9% to CAD 190 mln in Q1

Satellite operator Telesat reported first quarter revenues down from the year before, which was not affected by the virus pandemic. Revenues fell 9 percent from the year before to CAD 190 milllion, pulled down by forex effects and the adverse impact the pandemic had on certain customers serving the commercial airline and cruise industries. The company continued to reduce operating expenses, which were 12 percent lower at CAD 40 million than the year earlier.
