Hojai, May 13: In a bid to mitigate the inconvenience suffered by the citizens of Hojai  the Asom Nagarik Moncha has requested the district administration to set up  three vaccination counters at each vaccination centre within the district.

The Moncha urged the district administration to set up one counter each for the age group 18 to 44 years, 45 years and above and a counter for the second dose.

“In this regard we have submitted a memorandum to deputy commissioner Sadnek Singh, via online mode on Thursday”, said Bijay Chakraborty, general secretary, ANM while informing this correspondent over phone.

He said that a large number of people have to stand in large serpentine queues for long hours thereby losing patience at the centre, as a result Covid 19 protocol is violated as there are single vaccination counter at each centre, seeing the agony of the people at large, ANM have come forward and raised this issue and urged the district administration to take necessary action immediately in order to provide relief to the denizens within the district.”
