UPSC postpones civil services preliminary examination in the wake of alarming Covid-19 cases
Keeping in view the escalating cases of Covid-19, the UPSC decides to postpone the civil services preliminary examination to 10th October. Earlier, it was scheduled to be conducted in June.

The Union Public Service Commission, on Thursday, announced a postponement of the civil services preliminary examination to 10th October, earlier, which was scheduled to be conducted in June 2021.
“Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the civil services (preliminary) examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June 2021. Now, this examination will be held on 10th October 2021”, says a statement issued by the UPSC.
Well, the commission conducts the civil services examination in three phases- preliminary, main, and interview with the purpose to appoint officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) among several other services.
