Chandigarh: Recoveries (14,264) exceed new cases (12,490) for the fourth day but another 165 Covid deaths worry Haryana. The overall patient tally reached 6,52,742, with 5,39,609 cured, 6,075 dead, and 1,07,058 active.
This includes more than 11,000 patients on ventilator or oxygen support, while the cumulative positivity rate climbed to 8.16%. Nine of 22 districts, including Gurgaon and Faridabad, reported more recoveries than the new cases, pushing the recovery rate to 82.67%. Also, 68,122 tests took the day’s positivity rate to 18.84%. Rohtak had the day’s highest deaths (23), followed by Bhiwani and Hisar (16 each), Jind (11), Faridabad (10), and Gurgaon, Charkhi Dadri, and Sirsa (9 each).
Ambala and Panchkula reported eight deaths each, followed by Mahendragarh and Fatehabad (7 each), Kaithal (6), Kurukshetra and Nuh (5 each), Palwal and Jhajjar (4 each), Sonipat and Yamunanagar (3 each), and Panipat (2). Gurgaon reported 2,747 new cases, while Faridabad reported 1,237. Gurgaon now has 1,64,671 cases, 621 deaths, and 32,894 active patients, while Faridabad has 91,936 total cases with 608 deaths and 10,412 active patients.
Hisar reported 977 new cases, followed by Bhiwani 802, Sirsa 784, Sonepat 710, Karnal 660, Panchkula 593, Panipat 482, Rohtak 450, Mahendragarh 449, Jind 419, Ambala 368, Yamunanagar 321, Fatehabad 301, Kurukshetra 295, Palwal 189, Jhajjar 181, Rewari 155, Kaithal 154, Charkhi Dadri 153, and Nuh 63.
Haryana vaccinated 64,544 people on Wednesday, with 40,818 of those getting the first dose and 23,726 taking their second. The vaccination total has reached 46,58,366.
3,288 beds vacant
Till Wednesday, Haryana had 12,085 oxygen beds and 4,998 ICU/ventilator beds in its private and government Covid hospitals and medical colleges. Of these, 2,624 oxygen beds and 664 ICU/ventilator beds are available, going by the daily bulletin.
