The Drug Control General of India (DCGI) has nodded to Bhader Biotech-based company Bharat to conduct clinical trials.
With this, the drug manufacturing company will undertake the clinical trials for 252 selected volunteers. During 28 days, the company will hold clinical trials for this age group in different locations. According to information, the trials will be held in Delhi, Patna AIIMS and Nagpur Meditrina centers. The DCGI has already given permission to this company to give doses of covaxin at the age of 18 years.
The Center and the state governments are making every effort to reduce the number of cases spread by viruses through all measures at all levels. For this Covaxin, Covishiled is administered to humans through the first and second doses by vaccination.
The center has also taken steps to increase oxygen production by erecting plants across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ordered officials to set up more oxygen plants in the country, and Telangana districts will get each of them to address the growing demands.
