Dr. Salam Mani Singh
MMAB would like express deepest condolences on the sad demise Dr. Salam Mani Singh, he succumbed to COVID on 2nd May 2021 here at Bengaluru struggling with post-Covid pneumonia.
Dr. S. Mani Singh was passionate about football and represented Tripura in Santosh Trophy during 60s and played for Birendra Club.
He later obtained PhD in Sports from Laxmi Narayan Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior and retired as Professor in the same institute.
He was deputed as Director of SAI, Eastern Region and oversaw the conduct of National Games in Manipur in 1999.
He was a unique individual who could live with his passion for sports and pursued academics throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, daughters Manisana, Roopa, Parvati and son Sanamani and his beloved grandchildren Chandranshu, Deeptigya and Arush.
May God grant strength to the bereaved family during these difficult times.
MMAB and all the members pray for the departed soul of Dr. Salam Mani Singh and may his exemplary life of service in the field of sports continues to inspire many more.
