Imphal, May 12 2021: Teachers should be given all due recognition of being a frontline worker and vaccinated in view of the decision taken by the Government to utilise teachers in various sectors related to COVID-19 .

All Manipur Integrated Primary Teachers' Association (AMIPTA) said this in a statement issued yesterday and expressed discontent that teachers were also utilised in the first wave of the pandemic in various Covid related sectors but they have not been given due recognition of being a front line workers.

AMIPTA urged the Government to get the teachers to be engaged in Covid related activities vaccinated at the earliest.
