Sosivio Raises $4 Million to Drive Kubernetes Adoption by Implementing Predictive Cloud Maintenance and Security

Founded by serial entrepreneurs with multiple previous exits, Sosivio has been bootstrapped to date but has attracted many strong early adopters and customers

SAN FRANCISCO – WEBWIRE

Sosivio, the only non-intrusive Autonomous Cloud Native platform, today announced it has raised $4 million in seed funding, led by Seamans Holdings with participation from Superposition Venture Partners, and Side Door Ventures. The funding will fuel Sosivio’s growth through product launch and allow the company to scale rapidly over the next year.

Kubernetes has become the consensus system for container orchestration and deployment of software applications, but managing all the data within disparate, yet interconnected containers is a monumental challenge. As a result there have been dozens of observability tools that have been created to diagnose problems within an enterprise’s complex cloud system. But those tools still require a human to go in to discover and fix problems manually.

Sosivio’s Autonomous Cloud Platform provides holistic visibility into any cloud-native environment and proactive failure prediction, automated resolution, and deep contextual analysis of signals from all levels of your system. In other words, Sosivio doesn’t just diagnose symptoms, it also proactively tells you what happened, where it happened and how to fix it.

“Kubernetes is changing the way applications are deployed in the cloud. There’s no better way to deploy applications at scale with all of the auto-scaling and auto-healing functionality.” said Nuri Golan, co-founder and CEO of Sosivio. “But it is also forcing companies and teams to think differently about application development, deployment and maintenance. With all of the benefits, it also creates a new set of challenges around debugging, keeping cloud spend down, and security. Without extensive in-house expertise or spending a ton of money on professional services, Kubernetes can sap valuable time and resources from your teams. This is why we built Sosivio — not to just identify when something goes wrong, but to provide optimal performance by preventing problems from ever occurring in the first place. We help companies provide an optimal digital experience to their customers in the most cost-effective way.”

Sosivio observes data across every layer of the cloud environment, which allows the platform to accurately analyze every process in every pod on every node, and the K8s platform itself. By going this deep, Sosivio can do application profiling and performance observability without the needs for intrusive agents or data-offloading. Sosivio’s AI engines correlate relevant data, detect malfunction sequences as they evolve, and offer a resolution prior to a catastrophic failure or security breach. Sosivio is truly non-intrusive - no data-offloading, no intrusive agents, no broken artifacts and extremely limited resource consumption. The platform runs as a set of microservices, with nothing permanently installed, which allows even organizations in highly regulated and security-conscious sectors such as financial services and defense to benefit.

“The cloud and IT world is in the midst of a new wave of technological advancement and we are extremely excited to be a part of Sosivio’s journey to revolutionize this industry,” said Richard Seamans, founder of Seamans Holdings. “There are a lot of companies trying to figure out how to do predictive maintenance and security in the cloud, but we believe that Sosivio’s team is uniquely constructed to be the trailblazers for the next generation of cloud technology.”
