Large outbreak regions now 176 in city

Gurgaon: The district administration increased the number of large outbreak regions (LORs) to 176 on Wednesday. On April 30, the number was 170. Urban primary health centre (UPHC) Tigra has 26 condominiums and housing societies that have been declared as LORs. The areas include Jalvayu Towers, Sector 56, The Crest, Sector 54, The Close North Nirvana Country, Sector 50, Wembley Estate, Sector-49, The Palm Springs, Sector 54, DLF Park Place, Sector 54, Bestech Park View City 2, Sector 49, Vatika City, Sector 49, The Legend, Sector 57, La Lagune, Sector 54 and Omaxe Nile, Sector 49.
UPHC Chanderlok has 19 LORs, including Heritage City, DLF Phase 1, Belvedere Towers, DLF Phase 2, Regency Park II, DLF Phase IV, Sector 27, The Icon, DLF Phase 5, The Villas, DLF Phase 2, Sector 25, Silver Oaks Apartments, DLF Phase 1, Sushant Lok, blocks B and C, The Laburnum, Sushant Lok Phase I, Sector 28.
“A large number of Covid cases have been reported from UPHC Tigra and Chanderlok due to which they have the maximum number of containment zones. We are going to intensify rapid antigen testing drives in such areas,” said Dr Virender Yadav, chief medical officer, Gurgaon.
As many as 14 UPHCs are under UPHC Nathupur. The LORs in Nathupur include DLF Exclusive Floors, DLF Phase 5, Princeton Estate, DLF Phase 5, Wellington Estate, Club Drive, DLF Phase 5, Lagoon Apartments Ambience Island, DLF Phase 3, Westend Heights DLF City Phase 5 and Trinity Towers, DLF Phase 5 . Officials said that curbs meant for containment zones will be in place for these LORs, although the entire district is under extended lockdown till May 17.
