The beds will be available to hospitals and isolation centres on a first-come-first-serve basis over the Credihealth platform
Mumbai, May 13, 2021: In line with its vision of community service in these challenging times, MG Motor India has donated 200 sustainable beds to the COVID-19 affected people with the support of Credihealth.
Credihealth is a leading online healthcare platform to help people search for doctors and hospitals across India. Credihealth has recently launched a COVID helpline for asymptomatic and mild covid patients.
These beds are built using hard cardboard material and have a waterproof coating on them. They are also completely biodegradable. MG Motor India will be procuring these beds from a Gujarat-based company, namely Aryan Paper Mills. Since 2020, Aryan Mills has provided these sustainable beds to the Indian Army, Bombay Municipal Corporation, Indian Navy, and a few other private entities.
Under its community service umbrella MG SEWA, the carmaker is driving various initiatives. In April 2021, it had also joined hands with Devnandan Gases Pvt. Ltd. in Gujarat and supported in increasing the production of oxygen by 15% per hour at one of the latter’s plants in Vadodara within a week of the partnership. It aims to increase it by 50% soon. Its Hector Ambulances also continue to serve doctors and medical staff in their service to the nation. The British legacy automaker is further looking at deploying Hector mobile testing units across Vadodara soon. The carmaker is also importing oxygen concentrators to safeguard the family members of its employees. At the same time, it is providing free vaccination to its employees and is focused on facilitating the same along with its dealerships as well.
