Thread: HVAC tradies are the biggest conmen

Needed new Heat/Air conditioning installed in one of my apartments. I had three companies come out all listing some astronomical numbers.

First company wanted 25k
Second company wanted 20k
Third company wanted 15k


Ended up paying some Polish brah that couldn't speak English cash to do it for 9k. Still feels like I got ripped off.


The material costs around 5/6k. You telling me these assclowns want to make a 10/15k profit for less then a weeks worth of work? gtfo

Their profit is likely half of that in reality. A reputable company probably has a crew of 2 making $25/hr then add liability insurance, taxes, and all the other bullchit that comes with running a business.
