Chrissy Teigen is making amends for her past behaviour on social media.
The 35-year-old has apologised to Courtney Stodden for bullying them online after the model spoke to The Daily Beast about their interactions with Chrissy.
In 2011 the model made headlines when at the age of sixteen they married 50-year-old acting coach Doug Hutchinson.
In the interview, Courtney claimed that the cookbook author would "DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'"
On Wednesday, in a thread on Twitter, Chrissy wrote: "Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world. I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behaviour is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel."
She added that she has tried to connect privately, but since she publicly fuelled this, she also wants to apologise publicly.
"I'm so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now, knowing how deeply sorry I am."
At the end of the thread, the former Lip Sync Battle host said that she is working on being better than she was ten years ago, one year ago and six months ago.

Courtney, in turn, wrote on Instagram that they accept Chrissy's apology and forgives her.
"But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private. In fact, she blocked me on Twitter. All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology, but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realising her "wokeness" is a broken record."
