In the 2nd wave of COVID, the requirement for medical oxygen has soared in the country. Amid it, the Jammu and Kashmir Government worked 24x7 in the last few days and revamped the oxygen infrastructure in the UT. 26 oxygen generation plants have been constructed here that have a combined capacity of 25,000 litres/minute. The new plants will fulfill the soared requirement of medical oxygen. More oxygen generation plants will be added here soon. Financial Commissioner of Department of Health & Medical Education, of J&K, Atal Dulloo said, ‘In the last few days, we've started 26 oxygen generation plants that have a combined capacity of 25,000 litres/ minute. In the coming days, we'll install 52 more plants with a capacity of 48,000 litres/ minute.’
