International Nurses Day: Abhishek Bachchan dedicates a post to all the nurses for their 'undying spirit' and 'relentless efforts'

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the nation badly. With over three lakh cases reported daily, the healthcare system is falling short of essentials like beds, oxygen cylinders, and medicines. Now, on International Nurses Day, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has penned a heartfelt note thanking all the nurses who are tirelessly working in the current pandemic situation. Abhishek took to Twitter to thank all the nurses who risk their own lives to protect their patients. The 'Guru' actor shared a video montage on Twitter with short accounts of nurses who have been serving patients during the pandemic. Sharing the video, he wrote, 'The nurses have kept humanity above everything else working long hours & risking their lives to protect their patients. This #InternationalNursesDay I salute their relentless efforts & their undying spirit to fight COVID-19. We'll always be indebted to you'. Meanwhile, several celebrities like Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra Jonas-Nick Jona, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhry, Huma Qureshi, Sara Ali Khan, and several others have come forward to help India in its fight against COVID-19. Some are using their influence on social media to amplify urgent messages for medical help. Others are doing their bit by donating oxygen concentrators/ cylinders or by funding organisations that are helping those affected by the pandemic. A few days back, Amitabh Bachchan had also taken to Twitter and shared a motivational video encouraging people to come together and fight this deadly virus. Sharing a video, the megastar was seen reciting a motivational poem which was penned by his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan titled ‘Ruke Na Tu’. Now, talking about Abhishek Bachchan, on the cinematic front, the actor will be next seen 'Dasvi' and 'Bob Biswas'.
