CCpur records 39 new positive cases, total stands at 290

CCPur, May 11 2021: 39 new COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Churachandpur district taking the total number of active cases in the district to 290.A total of 35 persons (16 males and 19 females, all locals) out of 222 persons tested were confirmed as COVID-19 positive in the Rapid Antigen Test at District Hospital and different testing sites/private hospitals/clinics and close contacts.

Besides out of 112 samples sent to Imphal for RT-PCR test, results of 4 persons (3 returnees and one local) returned positive for COVID-19 according to data provided by the District Health Authority.

The total number of positive cases in the District till today is 2579 (1737 males and 842 females), out of which 2253 (1525 males and 710 females) have recovered.

COVID-19 patients of the district are treated at dedicated Covid Health Centre, District Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Lanva TD Block, Lingsiphai, Military Isolation centres/facilities and about 85 are kept in home isolation.

Total death case till today stands at 54 (36 males and 18 females) in the district.

As per Churachandpur District Hospital Authority, out of the 20 beds at dedicated COVID-19 centre, District Hospital, Churachandpur, 19 are engaged as of today and the number of COVID-19 patients on oxygen support stand at 18.44 D-type oxygen cylinders (13 full) are available.

29 B-type (18 filled) oxygen cylinders are available as of date at the District Hospital while 11 D-type and 5 B-type empty cylinders have been sent for refill to Central Medical Store.
