After about a year of iOS exclusivity, Facebook has now released the Tuned app for Android. The app works exactly the way it has been working on iOS devices. It is an app dedicated only to couples so that they can share moments and have conversations privately with each other. There is no option for connecting with other users on the platform. Original (April 8th, 2020)

Facebook's New Product Experimentation (NPE) team has released a new application called Tuned. It is essentially a social media app meant only for couples which is described as "private space". It offers all the features that one expects from a social network platform but everything is shared only between couples.

The Tuned app supports sharing photos, videos, voice memos, cards, notes, and custom stickers. It offers a scrapbook-liked feed that makes it easier for users to see posts from their significant others. There is Spotify integration where couples can share music playlists with each other. It even lets users set the mood to express how they are feeling at a particular moment.

Here is what the app description says,

"A private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves. With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person, even when you’re apart. Creatively express your love, share your mood, exchange music, and build a digital scrapbook of your special moments."

Tuned is a free to download and use application. It is currently available only on the App Store which means it can only be used by iPhone users. Even the regional availability appears to be limited as it is listed only in the United States and Canada stores.
