A video purportedly showing a Bathinda Assistant Sub-Inspector in a compromising position has gone viral on social media. 

In the video, villagers can purportedly be seen catching the ASI, Gurwinder Singh, posted with the CIA-1 wing of the Bathinda police, red-handed while allegedly raping a woman at her house in Bucho town in the district.

The woman alleged the ASI repeatedly exploited her sexually after implicating her son in an NDPS case. 

Gurwinder Singh, she alleged, registered a case against her 20-year-old son under the NDPC Act and then pressured her into a physical relationship with him. 

Bathinda SSP Bhupinderjit Singh Virk said a case had been registered against the ASI. He said the process had been initiated to dismiss him from service.
