Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) consolidated sales for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021, grew by 27% yoy to Rs2705cr against Rs2132.7cr in Q4FY20. Revenue rose to Rs2,730.74cr from Rs2,153.80cr yoy. The company’s consolidated profit stood at Rs366cr in Q4FY21 against Rs230cr in Q4FY20, a rise of 20% yoy. Consolidated EBITDA grew by 21% yoy basis.
Standalone Net Profit for Q4FY21 without exceptions and one-off grew by 13% to Rs251cr compared to Rs240cr in Q4FY20. Standalone EBITDA for Q4FY21 grew by 10% yoy to Rs331cr.
India sales in Q4FY21 grew by 35% yoy to Rs1,466cr in Q4FY20; volume grew by 29%. FY21 India sales grew by 14% yoy to Rs6,133cr from Rs5361cr; volume grew by 10%.
Godrej Consumer Products Ltd Hit record high of Rs883 per piece during early trade on Wednesday. At around 10.19 am, the company's each stock was trading at Rs875.05 per piece up Rs159.10 or 22.22% on the BSE.
Commenting on the business performance of Q4FY21, Nisaba Godrej, Chairperson and Managing Director, GCPL, said: “We delivered a third consecutive quarter of double-digit sales growth. Consolidated sales grew by 27% and EBITDA grew by 21%. From a category perspective, we saw continued strong growth momentum in the Household Insecticides and Hygiene categories. Hygiene grew by 38%, Household Insecticides grew by 28% and Value For Money products grew by 27%.
From a geography perspective, India grew at 35%. Our Africa, USA and Middle East business continued its robust growth trajectory, growing at 30% in INR and 36% in constant currency terms. Our Indonesian business delivered growth of 5% in INR and 4% in constant currency terms, on a positive growth base. Going forward, we will continue to focus our efforts where the demand is – in Household Insecticides, Hygiene, and Value For Money.”
