State adds new categories in curfew exemption list

Imphal, May 11 2021:
After several requests were received from the public for suitable relaxation from the present curfew restrictions imposed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, the matter was reviewed.
Several categories have been added to the list which are exempted from the curfew subject to observation of social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitization norms strictly.
The newly added categories included child protection services (orphanages, children homes, observation homes etc; home delivery services under ICDS/ICPS (supplementary nutrition for children, pregnant and lactating mothers); home delivery of various goods and services (food items, vegetables, grocerires, medicines etc.); finance department and treasuries with minimal staff; banking services with limited staff on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10 AM to 2:30 PM for Government and Non-Government transactions and sale of animal feeds, milk and milk products.
This activities are added in addition to the categories that were already exempted from curfew in the previous order.
All other activities not mentioned in the list will continue to be banned in view of the increasing number of Covid cases in the state in the wake of the second wave of the pandemic which has hit the Country hard in the last couple of months.
